Today, I went to the Aquarium for the first time in a very long time; not having been since it opened in Melbourne around the year 2000, as a wide-eyed 11 year old boy. Much has changed since then, I can tell you that! For one, I can now spell Aquarium without looking it up on google.. *laughs nervously*
Heading into Flinders Street with my very lovely girlfriend, I however must have looked not far removed from the past version that visited - a large childish grin was rendered all over my face. This did not leave for a very long time.
Let me throw this out there:
The Aquarium is one of Melbournes best kept secrets and I could seriously sit there forever in the underwater wonderland the keepers have created. They are knowledgeable, informative and funny and the exhibits (especially the divers in the large tank) are well worth the entry fee.
For those who haven't been in a while, let the photos do the talking for me (as usual) as I go and tick one more thing off my bucket-list.
