Starting off with a mystery adventure (the greatest kind) that was held over her head for most of the week, we left my humble abode with a long day of excellence ahead. First stop on our list was the highest of academic institutions, the Melbourne Museum. It's actually pretty interesting in there, they have so much to laugh at .. they have freakin' big whales and humerous dinosaur names (such as homo erectus hehe) galore, it's a great day out.. and informative! From there we moved into Carlton, where the food is always sumptuous and the night-life excellent. Ever since visiting the Burger Lounge in Eltham, I've been on the lookout for a burger better .. Well, I can say that Grilled comfortably outperforms it in all aspects. It's also a pretty cool place, the inside looks like a Swedish sauna with a chill rustic feel. It was also a good opportunity to talk about life, it's pretty private despite its open setting; definitely recommend it.
Then came the crème de la crème of the evening, iceskating at the icehouse. It's something I've wanted to do for a while now, especially with Sarah but it has never eventuated until now. For anyone wondering, it is actually the perfect first date (.. or in our case, 80th) haha, legitimised excuses to hold each other in public. It's also breathtakingly beautiful, theres just something about skating on ice with lights surrounding you that is hauntingly beautiful, even if the background music of topforty hits leaves something to be desired. It however, knocks one more item off my list of thirty, leaving the home straight in sight. I'll keep you posted.
