One of my main hopes that comes from writing is to inspire others to follow their hopes and dreams. It is not easy to allow yourself to do that, often it comes with trepidation and unease because it involves making yourself vulnerable. Dreams are a bit like that, because they're personal they often don't make it out into the reality of every day life. Everyone has dreams though, they just don't tell other people often.
At one time or another, everyone has had an unfilled ambition but how do you go from that unfilled, unsatisfied life view to achieving those goals of yours. Here are five tips to help you to have a radical change of your own!
The Time To Start Is Now
The first fatal mistake that people make when trying to achieve dreams is to wait until the time is perfect. There is no such thing as the 'perfect' time, moment or period of life. There will always be a reason to stop, to stall, to not go ahead but if you wait until the 'iron is hot' then the 'dream' will always remain that, a figment of your imagination.
Seriously, don't wait. You might learn a little by waiting, but you will learn almost everything by doing. Getting out there and doing something allows you to learn so much faster than if you spent that time on the sidelines, biding your time. Every single moment that you are not out there working towards your dream, is a moment that you can't get back.

Write Them Down & Tell Someone
If your dreams never move from private thoughts into action then they will never be achieved. Seriously, grab a piece of paper and write down your dreams and put it somewhere to keep reminding you. Don't let those fragments become lost.
The reason that this is so important is that you need to be able to visualize what your dream would look like when you are done. What kind of person will you be once you have achieved that dream? That visual image is what will propel you to keep going even when its hard.
When you tell someone your dreams, you become accountable to them. Not only that, but you get someone who will push you along when things get rough. You will need that.
What will your life look like in 10 years?

Start Slowly, But Surely
Many people who start chasing their dreams start like a house on fire, but just like that house burn to the ground in a matter of weeks. So how to avoid that? Firstly, having someone around who keeps pushing you is vital.
Once you have written down your big dream goals, break them down into smaller goals and keep working at them consistently. Don't allow yourself to get side-tracked alongside the way, or you will stop your own progress. Make sure you keep making those breakthroughs and you will get to achieve your goals that much faster.

I don't have words of wisdom to put here. It's a man pushing a boulder, it sort of speaks for itself.

Celebrate Your Achievements
I really feel like this is one of the biggest things that I have learnt throughout this process of achieving a change, you need to celebrate your achievements. If all you do is keep ploughing through until you achieve the final destination, you've missed out on the entire experience of your dream. I am one of those people who only like to feel achievement when they are finished, but I've slowly realised that when doing that, I never celebrate at all. I just keep going onto the next goal.
Find a way that you can celebrate your goals, because it will give you encouragement and a platform to keep going. Even if it's something as small as buying yourself something nice, going out to dinner or planning something fun for yourself, it keeps things flowing and will keep you moving towards your dream goal.
It is honestly one of the most freeing and gratifying things you will ever do.

Secretly, we all want to celebrate like the guy in the front left.

Achieve
You've gone through every single step and now all that is left is actually reaching out and grabbing that dream. It may be near, it may be far but by sheer determination and hard-work often you can get yourself closer than even you could have ever imagined.
Maybe you won't reach that dream, most take a ton of work and a good dose of skill but the only way that you will ever find out is trying. The only sure fire way to never achieve anything is to keep doing what you've always done, close to nothing.
The only thing that I can promise is you is by starting, you have already become a better person than you were only seconds earlier. You have become a doer, a starter and someone on their way to achieving something great.
What are you going to change? What dream are YOU going to achieve?
"Why stay the same for a change, let's talk about change for a change"
